It isn't always cut and dried, and the realization that your child needs 'something' that you can't provide can make parents feel as if they have failed.Enellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04429601624499121723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089641723245649229.post-53019968967615238412012-01-12T13:56:31.301-08:002012-01-12T13:56:31.301-08:00Get help, I'm sad that you are not well inform...Get help, I'm sad that you are not well informed. If you let your daughter go live with your mom because there was too much yelling in the home - then you need help. ADD is a disease that is treatable, I am so sorry that you haven't considered medication. If your child's eyes needed glasses wouldn't you get them? Your life will improve as will his if you get help. Medication doesn't sedate them - it gives them the chemical their brains are lacking that allows them to focus and/or act normal. Sounds like you have a wonderful kid - don't wait until it's too late.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089641723245649229.post-52395721003640125832011-09-13T19:18:01.762-07:002011-09-13T19:18:01.762-07:00Hi Chelsea,
Thank you so much for your kind words ...Hi Chelsea,
Thank you so much for your kind words :)
You might be surprised to find a school that is better suited to your daughter. You just have to dig deep and stick to your guns! This is my first breakthrough since my son started school, and I am hopeful that we have finally found a school that understands and knows how to deal with him.
So far, he is actually doing work in class and hasn't been sent home! They moved him back a grade (which is fine by me as he hasn't been doing any school work since grade 6, but the system keeps passing him - silly I know, but what can you do?) I know I tried everything to have him repeat a grade just so that he would actually get the proper education he needs, with no results. So hopefully he will finally "fit in".
Again, thank you so much for your support and encouragement!Enellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04429601624499121723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089641723245649229.post-17369706871899179682011-09-11T20:40:33.604-07:002011-09-11T20:40:33.604-07:00Hi Enelle,

My daughter is 6 and it amazes me sometimes how she can think her way around things. She is full of life and just as rambunctious! This school sounds amazing. I really wish there was something like that close to where we live I would be all over it. My fiance and I are prior military. I just recently got out of the service so that I could be at home with my family full time. The stress of being away from them for months at a time was not worth it. Most of the behavioral problems started last year. My fiance and I would sit on the porch many nights wondering what we were doing wrong as parents. I just want to let you know to keep doing what you are doing. There are so many parents out there that recieve so much strength from reading things like this. Its just nice to know that sometimes your not alone out there. Thank you :-)Chelseanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089641723245649229.post-6785992484341081252011-09-07T16:52:25.325-07:002011-09-07T16:52:25.325-07:00My pleasure 'Bianca's mom' you can con...My pleasure 'Bianca's mom' you can contact me through hubpages (the article) through here, or through my email, harondezyn@hotmail.com
You are most welcome to join this blog/online community and add your voice to the growing list :)
United we stand...you know the rest...hopefully we will be able to help others dealing with these issues.Enellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04429601624499121723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089641723245649229.post-52171205070459695602011-09-07T02:39:12.114-07:002011-09-07T02:39:12.114-07:00Hi Enelle, I found an artical that you wrote and s...Hi Enelle, I found an artical that you wrote and some how I came across it while i was searching for information on my daughters recent behavior these last six months.
