If you let your daughter go live with your mom because there was too much yelling in the home - then you need help. ADD is a disease that is treatable, I am so sorry that you haven't considered medication. If your child's eyes needed glasses wouldn't you get them? Your life will improve as will his if you get help. Medication doesn't sedate them - it gives them the chemical their brains are lacking that allows them to focus and/or act normal.
